A friend of mine wanted to show me the power under the hood of his newly purchased Pontiac Firebird. Heading from the restaurant where we had lunch, he approached the entry to the highway in town. As soon as he hit the entry, he opened, full throttle making me feel the power of the G-force as he topped his car out even before we actually hit the highway!
I have never felt that much power in a car. Imagine the G-force of a Formula 1 race car! While talking about the power of a vehicle is intriguing...there is something more powerful than a Formula 1 race car...the power of God! Think back to a time when you realized the power of God in your life. What did it look like? What happened? How did it impact your life?
Joel Osteen, an American preacher, once stated, "It's our faith that activates the power of God." I you haven't experienced the power of God in your life perhaps your faith in that power has not been activated. How do you activate one's faith? The Bible says, "So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God." - Romans 10:17 KJV
This Sabbath day, may you activate your faith in God so that you may experience real power...the power of God! May you spend time with the Master Jesus, so that your life will reflect a power that is absent in our world and needed by our society. May God help you with His power!
