What is the best part about building with Legos? For me and my kids, it's the part of creating something completely new and imaginative with the pieces we have. There is nothing better than someone bringing you a huge box of Legos and telling you..."Have fun!" Even as an adult, you will find me playing with Legos whenever I get a chance.
As I write this, the builders are working on the new house behind our house. They are working on the roof today. As they build this home from the ground up, I am fascinated by the process and the progress of such an endeavor. Building something has a way of giving the builder a sense of accomplishment and worth.
David Livingston once penned, "I place no value on anything I have or may possess, except in relation to the kingdom of God. If anything will advance the interest of the Kingdom, it shall be given away or kept, only as by giving or keeping it I shall most promote the glory of Him to whom I owe all my hopes in time or eternity.
Building the Kingdom is the theme for this Sabbath (at Milton). We have a special fire for our church family! The JAM ministry is in charge and will be providing us with the spiritual food of "Building the Kingdom." As you listen, watch, and learn, may you catch a glimpse of what you can do to build the Kingdom of God.
