What does an orange, an apple, and a banana have in common? You might deduce that the answer is. . .they are all fruits! You would be right. But what do they all share? You might guess. . . they share nutrients for our bodies. Another person might guess that thy provide the minerals we need for survival. Yet another might even say that they are necessary for life. I would say that what they share in common is the joy they bring when mixed together into a smoothie.

On a hot August summer day, the joy of a smoothie with fresh fruits is beyond a delight! There are many things in our world that when combined together bring you a sense of joy. You might be surprised to discover how many combinations you have in your life. Like family, food, and a grill; or a skateboard, friends and a skate park. The combinations in our lives are literally endless.

Today we are going to learn about The Triple Threat Effect. A combination of three ideas that bring. . .well. . .I'm not going to tell you right now. What I can tell you is that this combination leaves you with a sense of emptiness and longing for something more. Any human combination without God leaves you wanting more. But, with God. . .the longing, emptiness, and hunger is satisfied. How? Because God fills the hole you have been created with.

I have heard it said, "God is the only one that can fill the hole everyone was created with." If true, we would suppose that God made a mistake. Not really. It means that when sin entered into our world, a massive hole was created which God never intended man to experience. That hole can only be abundantly filled by the God who is a master at filling holes!

This Sabbath, what holes are in you life? What emptiness are you feeling? What can be done about those realities? Sit, listen, and learn about The Triple Threat Effect!

So, until the next time, this is Pastor Tello reminding you that thoughts do change lives!
