What would you be willing to do or sacrifice for a belief in something? Would you be willing to leave your home, your comforts, and travel to an unknown land to follow a belief? Well that very thing happened in 1848. On January 24, 1848, gold was discovered by a James W. Marshall at the Sutter's Mill in Coloma, California.

From there . . . the California Gold Rush began! The news, the belief that there was gold in them hills, lead 300,000 people to California from all over the United States and aboard on a search for their own gold. That belief was so strong in many living in the 1800s that any sacrifice that was needed was willing accepted by those that come out west.

Believing in something is powerful. Mahatma Gandhi was once quoted saying, "Your beliefs become your thoughts, your thoughts become your words, your word become your actions, your actions become your habits, your habits become you values, your values become your destiny." What are you believing in this morning?

As you listen to the sermon by Ricky Kearns, may you remember that your belief in Jesus is paramount to your spiritual growth as a Christian. But it's not only believing, but acting not hat belief. By thus doing, you create habits for God, values for God, and your destiny to do that which pleases God. May you, this Sabbath day, seek to honor and glorify the name of God!

So, until the nest time, this is Pastor Tello reminding you that thoughts do change lives!
