The year was 1879. The man of the hour was Thomas A. Edison. After thousands of failed attempts at making a functional lightbulb, Edison finally made an incandescent bulb that burned long enough to be practical and which lighted a home for many hours. And how exactly has the lightbulb changed our world?

The electric lightbulb is considered the most important invention since man-made fire. This simple invention helped establish social order after sundown; it has extended the workday well into the night; and allowed you and I to navigate and travel safely in the dark. A lot of these benefits go unnoticed by many of us. Mainly because we've never lived in a world without the lightbulb.

Its power has changed our world. There is, however, another power that changes our world, the power of the Holy Spirit. Jesus said, "But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth." Acts 1:8, KJV

On this Sabbath day, as you listen to Pastor Ron Clouzet speak, are you filled with the power to reach our world or are you lacking in the most important power you need to make a significant impact in our society? If so, accept freely what is given to you by our Master and God and reach our world for the Kingdom!

So, until the next time, this is Pastor Tello reminding you that thoughts do change lives!
