Violet Putnam once stated, "The entire sum of existence is the magic of being needed by just one other person." Another person chimed in saying, "Everyone needs to be needed, wants to be wanted, and loves to be loved. You are human and you need to be loved, just like everything else in the world." Being needed by someone else is definitely something a human values. But how important is it to be needed by God?
You might argue and say that we are not needed by God, we are in need of God! But, in reality God needs you. How? Listen to this thought, "God needs all-sided men, men who will keep the windows of the soul opened heavenward, and let heaven's light shine into the chambers of the mind." - 14LtMs, Ms115aa, 1899, par 7
Are the windows to your soul opened heavenward? Is heaven's light shine into the chambers of your mind? If not, why not? You can have a different life than the one you are living by allowing yourself to be needed by God! God needs your heart and mind and life to make a significant change in the lives of those that surround you.
May you this Sabbath:
1. Keep the windows of your soul pointed heavenward.
2. Allow Heaven's light to shine into the chambers of your mind.
3. Realize that God needs you, yes, you to live your life for Him!
