One of the official definitions for the word confusion is: showing bewilderment. In the event that you are unaware of the definition of bewilderment, it means: perplexed and confused; very puzzled. One needs only to watch the news for five minutes to realize that our world is confused.

From the political arguments to the pronoun arguments to the rights of individual's argument: our world is in a clear state of bewilderment. In 1909...yes 114 years ago...Ellen White shared this thought, "We are now in the last stages of this earth's history. We are living in a world of confusion, and we need daily a living faith in Jesus Christ. He is our sufficiency. The members of our churches need the sanctifying grace of God. Every possible effort should be put forth to labor in the spirit and power of Christ. He labored in humble simplicity, not drawing into His great work one thread of selfishness." 24LtMs, Lt 150, 1909, par. 15

It's 2023. This year, I'd like to make it a year where I: 1. Have a daily experience with Jesus. 2. Jesus becomes my sufficiency. 3. My life is sanctified by His grace. 4. My labors are filled with Jesus' spirit and power. 5. And I am laboring in simple humility for those that surround me. What about you? Why not make this the year that your life is lived for the Master Jesus in such a way that people can't help but notice that you are walking with Jesus.

Take time this Sabbath day to ask Jesus how you can make the 5 points mentioned above a reality in your life. It's worth the effort and time invested in it. If anything, your life will be that conduit of blessings that our world of confusion needs. You are Jesus' hands bringing hope to your community.

So, until the next time...This is Pastor Tello reminding you that thoughts do change lives!
